"Though I love to crochet, bead, and weave, my main love is sewing. Sewing is my creative outlet. It's been a hobby and it's been a business. In 2021, I started sewing primarily with felt, Benzie felt, and it's been a field day ever since. Felt is a simple material to work with, and I love that I can sew by hand or machine with ease. I'm excited to create content that helps crafters make pretty things. As a Benzie shopper, it's too perfect that I now have the opportunity to work with the exact felt supplier I've used for my small business for years. I hope to inspire others to create with felt and learn from this year's lovely Maker team myself."

"Hello, my name is Cat. I reside with my husband and son in beautiful NY. I was artistic from the time I feverishly drew fashion illustrations and displayed them in my father’s factory in NYC’s garment district. I have experimented and taken classes in all types of mediums. When I became a SAHM, I discovered weaving. I learned how to weave through YouTube, books, and my own experimentation. I continue to grow and expand using various fibers for my art and small shop business. I am excited and honored to be part of the Maker team. I get to share with the craft community what I have discovered thus far! Sometimes it can be daunting to learn a new craft or technique. I am here to help take some of that away with my DIYs using the beautiful items from Benzie Design. And perhaps spark someone’s artistic journey!"
