This DIY ornament kit includes all the materials you need to make a pink moth ornament (except for glue, scissors and scalloped shears). The pattern is preprinted onto transfer material, so all you have to do is stick it on the felt and cut out the pieces. Then you are ready to assemble these beautiful ornaments. Designed by Lolli + Grace. 

The complete kit includes:

* Wool blend felt in every color you'll need to make one ornament
* Pre-printed designs for cutting out all felt pieces
* DMC embroidery floss
* Needle
* Sequins
* Full-color printed booklet with step-by-step photos, instructions and stitch diagrams
* Packaged in a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" cellophane bag with hang marker.

Overly complicated template

It’s a beautiful butterfly ornament so I gave it 4 stars, but be prepared to spend a long time cutting it all out. Surely there’s a way to make this butterfly without having to cut out 32(!!) medium to tiny template pieces, which you can only use once unless you’re clever. Also, the spacing of the pieces on the template sheets are super crowded with lots of blank space available, making cutting out the pieces that much more difficult. Like… it took me hours. I haven’t even started to make it and I’m almost tired of it, sadly.

You got the hardest part done! The shapes and layers is what makes this moth stunning! Make sure you have a nice sharp scissors (5' ones are the best for felt) -it will definitely speed up the process. The easy thing about this pattern is that all the pattern pieces are printed on adhesive -so it just sticks to the felt. Traditional kits include patterns that need to be traced, pinned or cut out first -the adhesive paper saves this time consuming step! Otherwise, enjoy the slow and steady process of creating! ♡
