About the Designer

Hello! I'm Gina, the founder and owner of Bear & Barbaloot. By day I'm a pediatric nurse at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. I am also a wife to the best husband in the world, and the two cutest, most rambunctious little boys around (although I might be a teeny bit biased). In the rest of my "spare time" I lovingly work at making felt florals. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I adore making it!

Colorful Victory

I failed at bonsai. The gentleman at the garden center called me a murderer. A garden lady told me I had to be old to succeed with Aftrican Violets. Now I am old and have proved her wrong. I love Christmas Catus because it gives you a spot of cheery color during the gray season. I don't have your crafting talent, but I have suceeded in making my first felt Christmas Cactus. Victory! A spot of color that I cannot murder. Thanks for your great instructions. My creation sits on my window seal and greets me when I first awake.
