SIMPLE STITCHES - Basic embroidery stitches that form the foundation of most projects. Many of these stitches can be adapted to create more complex stitches and patterns. To begin and end simple stitches, tie a knot in the thread on backside of the fabric.
DECORATIVE STITCHES – Stitches used to add decorative elements to a design. These stitches can also be combined in a variety of ways to form larger decorative patterns. To begin and end decorative stitches, tie a knot in the thread on backside of the fabric.
JOINING STITCHES – Stitches traditionally used to connect two pieces of fabric. Some Simple Stitches can also be used to join fabrics such as the Backstitch and Running Stitch. To begin and end joining stitches, a knot can be tied on the backside of the fabric or hidden between fabric layers.
