Shop Supplies

Directions:

Christmas in the City Snow Globe - Medium

Additional Supplies:
Wool Felt in Magpie, Lunar, Cherry Red, Conifer, Butterscotch and Black
Invisible Thread
Bugle Beads, Neutrals
Seed Beads in White, Graphite and Red
Metallic Red Sequins
Tacky Glue

1. Download and print Snow Globe Base PDF onto cardstock and cut out. Trace two Medium Globes onto Magpie felt and two Medium Bases onto Cherry Red felt. Cut out.

2. Download Christmas in the City Pattern and print onto EZ Print Lite iron-on adhesive (smooth side.) Adjust printer settings to print at "Actual Size" in order for pattern pieces to be the correct size. Cut out pattern pieces with a wide border and place on felt with adhesive (rough) side facing felt. Iron onto felt following manufacturer's instructions.

3. Once cooled, cut individual pattern pieces along solid lines. One at a time, remove paper backing from felt components and press onto one Globe until completely adhered. Sandwiching components between pressing paper is helpful to prevent any burn marks or adhesive transfer on iron's sole plate.

4. Use beading needle and invisible thread to add sequins and beads to the Christmas scene. Iron-on adhesive and beads are sufficient to hold felt in place. For extra security, use invisible thread to add tacking stitches.

5. Place front (embellished) and back Globes together, right sides facing out. If desired, cut a small length of bakers twine and place at the top for a hanging loop.

6. Add glue to bottom of Globe front and place Base in position. Flip over ornament and repeat for back side.

7. Beginning at one bottom corner, use invisible thread to whip stitch two sides together.

8. Stop before closing to add a small amount of Polyfil. Continue stitching closed.

With minimal stitching, this Snow Globe ornament comes together so quickly you'll want to make another. So here you go:
