You're never fully dressed without a smile... and some matching hair accessories! These Spring Hair Clips from Maker Team member Melody of @mel_part are such a quick way to spruce up an outfit and welcome warmer weather. We've recommended a spectacular Spring felt palette but this project is also ideal for using up felt scraps. Who do you know that needs some new Spring flair?
Warmer weather is finally approaching, so I wanted some spring hair clips to add to my toddler’s wardrobe. These are a quick project and can be customized to match any outfit.
Skill Level: Beginner
Time: 1 hour
Additional Supplies:
Hair Clip Template (click to download)
Freezer Paper - optional
Directions:
1. Print Hair Clip Template above on cardstock. Cut out and trace onto felt. Alternatively, use the Freezer Paper method to transfer pattern and cut out felt pieces.

2. Use water soluble marker to make guidelines on largest felt piece for flowers and other embellishments.

3. Use three strands of embroidery floss and a lazy daisy stitch, to stitch daisies over guidelines.

4. Place embellished front and back end pieces together. Blanket stitch around perimeter, making sure to catch and secure both back end pieces as you stitch.

5. Open snap clip and insert it into back pockets. You will have to bend the clip a little, but once placed, it will be secure.

These sweet clips can be made in a flash and would be a great addition to an Easter basket. They even fit inside a plastic egg! Hoppy Crafting!
